I was born and raised on the west side of Houston, Texas, where I saw firsthand the resilience and determination of my Honduran mother as she built a new life in the United States. Inspired by her grit, I knew early on that education would be my path to success. As a teenager, I got involved in organizations focused on helping underprivileged communities, at-risk youth, and first-generation high school students, driven by a desire to make a difference.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. After completing my undergraduate studies, I worked at a personal injury law firm in Dallas, Texas, and spent the next ten years handling insurance claims. This experience helped me develop a deep understanding of both the legal and insurance systems.

During this time, I became a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Abused and Neglected Children and served on the Teen Court Advisory Board for the City of Arlington. This experience allowed me to view the judicial system through a new lens. Attorneys and judges are public servants with raw emotions and huge hearts. My childhood experiences gave me my reason and my volunteer work solidified my decision to become an attorney. With a clear sense of purpose, I went on to graduate from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree.

Joining The Button Law Firm as an attorney was a natural step for me, aligning perfectly with my personal values and passion for representing those who can’t speak for themselves. My career has been shaped by a commitment to advocating for the vulnerable and underrepresented.

Within The Button Law Firm, my role includes working closely with Russell, Ashley, Rena, and the entire case team to champion the rights of children and hold bad daycares, schools, and companies accountable when they abuse and neglect the safety of children.

On a personal note, I’m happily married to the love of my life, and we have three wonderful children who keep me on my toes. We also have a grumpy Jorkie who hasn’t quite mastered his inside voice yet. In my free time, I enjoy attending concerts, and listening to Selena!
