cristina yanez, paralegal at the button law firmIt’s been four incredible years since Cristina joined our team at The Button Law Firm, and it’s safe to say she’s planted her roots deeply into the fabric of our firm! With a vibrant past that stretches from the sunny climes of Florida to the bustling streets of downtown Chicago, Cristina has cultivated a wealth of knowledge and experience that she brings to her role as a paralegal at our office.

Cristina's Journey to Texas

Cristina’s journey with us began after she decided to move to Texas in 2020, seeking to be closer to family and, admittedly, to the sunny weather she missed dearly. Before joining BLF, she honed her skills at a medical malpractice firm in Chicago, where she witnessed the complexities of litigation and trials firsthand — an experience that significantly shaped her approach to legal work. Working in such a high-stakes environment, Cristina learned the importance of meticulous preparation and the emotional resilience required to support clients through challenging times.

Thriving in a Dynamic Environment

As we celebrate her fourth anniversary, it’s clear that Cristina has not only adapted to but thrived in the dynamic environment of our law firm. Initially focusing on minor settlements, she shifted toward more intensive courtroom work, handling records and supporting our clients through complex legal processes. Her growth from handling initial client interactions to mastering the demands of trial preparation showcases her dedication and evolving expertise.

Cristina’s role at BLF is multifaceted. She is often the first point of contact for clients, providing them with reassurance and clarity during stressful times. Her ability to manage detailed case files and ensure that all necessary documentation is in order has been invaluable to our team. Cristina's keen eye for detail and her organizational skills have been critical in preparing for trials, where every piece of evidence can make a significant difference.

Balancing Career and Family

Outside the office, Cristina’s life is just as busy, especially as a mom to a 9-year-old who is just as active, attending dance lessons and heading off to camp this summer. Balancing her career with being a mom might mean that Cristina doesn’t have much free time, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. Still, she makes time to fly to Florida now and then, catching up with friends and the family members she holds dear. Cristina often shares stories of her weekend adventures with her son, whether it’s exploring local parks or attending community events. Her ability to juggle her professional responsibilities with her role as a mom is truly inspiring and speaks to her exceptional time management skills.

Goals for the Future

Cristina’s goals for the future are clear. She’s eager to dive deeper into litigation, aiming to absorb all she can about courtroom dynamics and legal strategies. Cristina is constantly seeking opportunities to expand her knowledge, whether through attending legal seminars or participating in workshops. Her ambition and drive are evident to everyone she works with, and we have no doubt she will continue to excel in her career.

An Invaluable Team Member

Cristina is an invaluable member of our team whose roots in law enable her to thrive in any situation. Her contributions to the firm have not gone unnoticed, and she has earned the respect and admiration of both her colleagues and clients. Cristina’s positive attitude and unwavering commitment to her work create a supportive and productive atmosphere at BLF.

As we celebrate Cristina’s fourth work anniversary, we’re reminded of the warmth and expertise she brings to our team daily. Her journey from Florida to Chicago to Texas, and from a medical malpractice firm to BLF, illustrates her adaptability and passion for the legal field. Here’s to many more years of growth and success at BLF. We look forward to seeing all that Cristina will accomplish in the future and are grateful for her continued dedication to our firm.
